How does a water vapor fireplace work?

Water vapor fireplaces create the effect of smoke, making the fire image and feel similar to a real gas or wood fireplace. At the heart of a water vapor fireplace is a water reservoir connected to an evaporator. When the fireplace is turned on, it creates a stunning smoke effect using water vapor and light projection. On average, it can run for 7 hours, but you need to refill the reservoir each time you use it.

Water vapor fireplaces are pet- and child-friendly 

The fine water vapor combined with light projection creates an imitation of a burning fireplace. The Opti-Myst does not emit heat, making it pet- and child-friendly, perfect for any living space.

Maintaining a water vapor fireplace

Unlike electric or bio-ethanol fireplaces, a water vapor fireplace requires a bit more maintenance. The use of water can cause lime buildup over time. We recommend cleaning the water reservoir regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Refilling the water reservoir

A water vapor fireplace uses a removable water tank that needs to be refilled regularly (every 6-7 hours). The water vapor is generated by an ultrasonic evaporator. Depending on usage, an evaporator lasts 6-12 months.
